Here we are going downhill on Splash Mountain so I can show my son that it's not as scary as he thinks. It's not a great video because we had to sit in the back and that's not the best place to be for taking video. My shot is a little messed up at the end because I didn't want to get my camera "too wet" because it wasn't waterproof.
They take your picture going down this hill and you can purchase the picture and a cute frame to go with it if you want. It's a cute souvenir if you get a good shot of all of you. A lot of people just take a picture of the picture on their cell phone, but if you get a priceless picture, I would definitely buy it. My picture here had a camera in the way (mine!), so I didn't buy it of course.
Going Downhill on Splash Mountain
Splash Mountain Ride at Disneyland
Splash Mountain is located in Critter Country next to the Winnie the Pooh ride. There are not very many things to do in Critter Country besides go on Splash Mountain, ride Winnie the Pooh or eat (not that I don't mind eating). Splash Mountain is pretty much the creme de la creme when it comes to Critter Country, it also happens to be on of my favorite rides. I rarely get to go on this ride because my son Jeremy and my daughter Samantha do not like the drop at the end. The line for it is usually really, really long but today is was surprisingly short. I had a FastPass already for the ride and that still saves you a good ten minutes regardless. I really wanted to take a video on this ride, today I got my chance.
We got a FastPass and decided to get a baked potato over at the Harbour Galley and then we stopped over at Pooh Corner for a cookie. There's a lot to eat over in the Critter Country, there's also the Hungry Bear Restaurant, too. There is more to eat than there is to ride over there. It's also quite a walk to get there so a lot of people don't realize there is much past Splash Mountain.
Heading up to Splash Mountain to use our FastPass I noticed the line was not nearly as long as it usually is. The line here can be horrendous; usually a minimum 75 minute wait. I'm grateful that Splash Mountain has a FastPass but still, why is it the one day I get to go and have a FastPass that there is hardly a line? ha ha ha
