Next, we headed over to the Pier so Courtney could buy Jackie some Minnie Mouse ears for her birthday. Courtney already owned a pair of the black sequins ones with the red bow and she wanted to get Jackie the same pair so they could be twins!
We stopped at the store right on the Pier. I'm not sure what the name of it was but this was the sign out front. It screamed "spend your money here," so we did! I couldn't find a name anywhere so we'll just call it "Souvenir Store on the Pier" for now.
It's the first shop on the left hand side as you first enter the Paradise Pier. It's right by the "Duffy the Disney Bear" picture spot. This store is attached to the the store that carries "Duffy the Disney Bear" items so it could possibly be called the "Duffy the Disney Bear Store" for all I know, but I couldn't find the name. I actually meant to look at Courtney's receipt for the Minnie Mouse ears and forgot too. So for now, the mystery of the shop on the Paradise Pier will remain un-solved.
They sell a lot of different things here, there's Duffy the bear merchandise but there's a ton of hats, and other souvenirs as well. It's a prime location for shoppers on the Pier because you can't miss it.
We went to Disneyland to celebrate Jackie's birthday, not just any birthday, her 21st! We got up early! By early, I mean 8:00am and got there about 10:00am if memory serves me correctly (which quite frankly, it doesn't all the time). We met Jackie, Joe and Courtney at the entrance to start our day!
The kids were very excited that Jackie and Joe were coming with us this time to Disneyland! It's always fun when more people come to spend the day with us.
Jackie's friend from High School, Courtney, came to join us for the day! Aren't the so cute?
Tyler really enjoyed the necklace that Joe got Jackie for her birthday, it tasted great apparently!
We headed over to the Pacific Wharf to see if Rita's Baja Blender was open, afterall, it's her 21st birthday! When we got to Rita's it was closed, apparently they don't open until noon. I said, "it's noon somewhere in the world" but they still insisted on waiting until noon. So we went over and took some pictures instead.
We stopped by the Ariel Store, aka Embaradero, to see what stuff they had. Jackie had never been here before. Sammy tried on the cutest hat that had a "dingle hopper" on it! It was SO cute!
After the Ariel store we on The Little Mermaid ride and low and behold it was NOON! So we headed back over to Rita's to get the kiddos (now over 21, but still kiddos) a drink.
Jackie and Courtney ordered their drinks and they had to give I.D., it was so cute!
After we grabbed they got their drinks we all headed over to Cocina Cucamonga for Mexican food.
We all ordered some Mexican food and had a seat down by the water. The Mariachi Divas came over to play everyone a song, they dance with some children while they sang. Afterwards, we asked them to sing "Happy Birthday" to Jackie (I need to upload the video from Joe's phone first).
After lunch, we headed over through Cars Land so the kids could try yet another drink, it was Jackie's 21st birthday! We are not a family of lush drinkers, everyone was just having fun for her Jackie's birthday.
Jackie, Joe and Courtney got the Lime-Aid with alcohol and Samantha got a virgin, because she's only 11. Cone #3 is the only one that serves alcohol at the Cozy Cone Motel.
We had to find a PhotoPass Photographer to take Jackie's picture for her annual pass and we happened to see one in Cars Land so we stopped. I also decided to jump in on the photo opp and grab so cute photos of Jackie and Joe.
Courtney need ice cream, she kept saying it but no one took her seriously until she disappeared .... "oh no, there she is!" In line for ice cream next to the souvenir shop. Girl doesn't mess around! She wanted ice cream!!
Next, we all headed over to the California Screamin roller coaster for a ride. Nothing better than booze, Mexican food, ice cream and a roller coaster that drops you upside down right?! Right! Let's go!
It's a really hot day in June, so we stopped off at Grizzly Pass, got a little wet and then headed over to Starbucks to get something to drink. I know it seems like all we do is drink and eat but..... well, yes, I guess that's what we do huh?
There was a ton of facinating decor inside the Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe (where Starbucks is located), so much that I will have to do a whole other blog post because it's that in depth inside this place. The Starbucks inside the Fiddler, Fifer & Practical Cafe has the same prices as any other Starbucks and that really had Joe excited!
Everyone ordered their usual drinks and said that they were just as good, if not better, than any other Starbucks! My husband was really impressed with his frappicino. He said it tasted better than the ones you get at Starbucks because they blended it perfectly and dripped the caramel nicely down the sides..
My husband and kids sat outside because they were actually COLD from the Grizzly Pass and cold drinks. While they were outside the Red Car Newsboys came by and performed.
Next, we headed out to the ticket booths in front of Disneyland to get Joe an annual pass! Yah! We were so excited he decided to buy one. After we got his pass we went into Disneyland for one more ride and to buy Jeremy his Jessie hat. Jackie had to go play Bingo at 5pm with her grandparents so this concluded our day with her.
