It was a very hot outside and we wanted to get something to eat indoors so we stopped by the River Belle Terrace and went inside. As we went inside the nice air-conditioned restaurant, we noticed that they had a big black curtain around their dining area. Boooooo! When I ask them why we couldn't eat there, the cast member told me that they were remodeling it and it would not be open until October.
This was very disappointing because there are not a lot of places in this area to eat indoors and it was very hot outside. We went by the Golden Horseshoe but it packed to the brim and there was no room to sit inside.
We tried to go in Cafe Orleans because they also had a sit down area for dining, but the wait was going to be 30 minutes. Normally I would have just waited the 30 minutes because it was so hot outside, but my son, who is six years old was VERY hungry so that was not an option, we had to feed him fast.
We headed over to the French market, a little disappointed because we know that they don't have indoor seating while dining. We sat outside on their lovely patio which overlooks the New Orleans train station, but it was still very hot outside, so it was not as comfortable as I would have liked. If I had one suggestion, Disney needs more shaded areas with picnic seating OR more indoor dining space to accommodate people when it's hot outside.
